The Medical Training Program
Rafik Al Hariri Foundation designed the training for the interest of the Lebanese doctors who had completed their university education abroad and wished to continue their specialization in Lebanon. The program prepared the participants both linguistically and professionally. It started operating in 1987 in collaboration with the AUB Medical School, later to be housed in Al-Makassed Association Hospital. Still under AUB management, the one-year program, which combined theory and practice, led to postgraduate studies in medicine. The number of those who have benefited from the program reached 126 doctors. Towards the end of 1990, the program was discontinued.
